Protective Orders
Regardless of gender, we work to protect our clients' safety. If you have been a victim, to any extent, of domestic violence, our attorneys will work on your behalf to secure a Temporary Protective Order (TPO). If granted, a court hearing is later scheduled to determine whether to extend the Temporary Protective Order against your spouse.
A common misperception about Domestic Violence is most people think of it only as acts of physical violence. Harassment also falls under this category, including threatening physical harm, making contact with a spouse's employer or showing up at their workplace, endless phone calls, shutting off your home's power, etc.
We treat domestic violence, of any kind, with the utmost urgency. If you have been a victim of domestic violence, we will work vigorously to protect you.
On the other hand, know that our law firm never files frivolous claims of domestic violence for the sole purpose of posturing in a case, which would be a waste of time and resources and a violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct.
