Legal Fees and Costs
The total amount of legal fees you will pay in your divorce case will depend largely on the amount of cooperation between you and your spouse. Naturally, uncontested divorces cost much less than contested divorces, which are then less expensive than taking a case to trial. Any case that requires the help of an outside expert will result in that additional cost.
Our Las Vegas divorce attorneys and staff will take a team approach to your case, ensuring it is handled with maximum efficiency.
We accept many forms of payment, including cash, checks, and major credit cards. We also take payments or credit card authorizations from third parties, in the event a friend or family member agrees to assist you, until they can be repaid through the proceeds of Temporary Orders or Property Settlements.
Initial Retainer Deposits
All of our divorce cases require an initial retainer, which is deposited into a client trust account. This account is then used to pay fees and costs associated with your matter. Throughout your case, you may be required to deposit more money into the account so as to maintain a positive balance. Once your case is resolved, you will immediately be refunded the remaining balance of your client trust account.
Hourly Rates
Divorce cases vary in the amount of time they require to reach resolution. The services provided in both contested and uncontested matters are billed at hourly rates, paid via your client trust account.
Case Costs
Divorce matters require case costs, including filing fees, process server fees, stenographer fees, legal research and analysis, delivery fees, postage, travel expenses, reproduction, etc.
These costs are reimbursable, meaning that the client pays the actual cost of the service, which is not subject to any markup by our law firm.
