Hidden Assets
When necessary, our law firm will hire a Court Certified Forensic Accountant to find assets your spouse may be hiding. These assets, when found after a divorce is finalized, are referred to as omitted assets.
Our attorneys, with the help of such experts, have found millions of dollars in hidden assets to which our clients were legally entitled. And whether we locate these hidden assets during the divorce proceedings, or after your Decree of Divorce is finalized, we will protect your right to any and all of them.
While hidden assets do not exist in every divorce, they are more likely to exist if any of the following circumstances characterize your marriage:
- Your spouse has been dishonest on numerous occasions.
- Divorce has been anticipated for many years, giving a spouse ample time to strategically hide assets.
- Your spouse has substantial and/or multiple income sources.
- Your spouse controls the reporting of income of a business.
No matter how well your spouse thinks they have hidden assets from you, our attorneys are relentlessly diligent in finding them.
We use many investigative means to find hidden assets, some requiring more time than others. However, there are also situations in which no hidden assets exist, even when you thought they did.
Due to the public nature of this forum, we will not detail all of our investigative tools here. But upon finding any hidden assets, we will immediately work to secure your rights and claims to these assets.
